Why we made this website

This website is for everbody.  Its aims are:

  1. to help people to understand the importance of fair tests of treatments
  2. to make this knowledge accessible to as many people as possible, and
  3. to help them to share their own knowledge and experiences of fair tests of treatments in a safe and constructive forum.

The website contains the full text of the 2nd edition of the book Testing Treatments.  It also contains links to additional resources, identified by the authors and by you, which help to explain and illustrate the principles and messages contained in the book.

The website also contains translations of the full text of Testing Treatments prepared by translators around the world.

It is important to be clear that this site is not the place to look for information about the effects of specific treatments.  Such information, and other useful information not covered in this site, can be found by consulting the Additional Resources page.
